There are two main categories of support offered by DAS; support to those who are “Defendants” and those who are “Inmates.” Individuals who are “Defendants” are those who face the force of government (a regulatory body, municipality, state or federal government) but who still are generally at liberty.
Family members or interested parties can submit support tickets for inmates, or DAS staff and DAS volunteers will create support requests when receiving phone calls or emails from incarcerated individuals.
If this is the first request, you’ll complete the registration process. When you submit your request this will create a support ticket unique to you and your request. We cannot guarantee that we can solve your problem, or that we can address every concern – but we will do our best. With DAS you will always have someplace to turn. Once you’ve completed your request, you can track the progress on your request.
Normally, requests are reviewed by staff or volunteers within 72 business hours. We will respond and let you know when we’ve reviewed your request and outline whatever steps might be next. If your request is urgent or an emergency, we will do our best to respond as appropriate.
