Need help with a case?

The fastest way to get help

Our Request Help form goes straight to our team, who will point your situation to the right person. It’s free, confidential, and carries no obligation — and it’s the quickest path to a real answer.

For inmates & families

If someone you love is incarcerated

You do not have to be the defendant to reach us. A spouse, parent, child, or friend can start a request on someone’s behalf — we work with families every day, and often it is a family member who contacts us first.

Writing to us by mail

If you are writing on behalf of an incarcerated person, or an inmate is writing to us directly, send a letter to our headquarters:

Defendant Aid Society
10808 S. River Front Parkway, Suite #3046
South Jordan, UT 84095

To help us respond well, please include as much of the following as you can: the person’s full legal name and inmate or booking number, the facility they are held in, the court and case number if it is known, and the best phone number or address for a family member on the outside.

Mail can be slow in both directions. If a family member is also able to call us or fill out the online form, that lets us begin working much sooner.
